Hospitality - Westin Indianapolis + Ten Hands

I was contacted via social media regarding a combined food and space photography project for the Westin hotel in downtown Indianapolis. The property was in the midst of major renovations, including their lobby level market and restaurant.

This project highlights two of my strengths  - food photography and interiors. The project included a scouting visit so that I can see the layout and meet with property staff to make sure we're aligned on their goals.

On the shoot day we started mid-morning in the market. We did this after the morning coffee rush and prior to any noon lunch rush that we expected. One challenge of the project was the ongoing renovations immediately outside the market. Lighting and composition had to consider this to avoid distractions.

When we transitioned to the food, one goal I had was to work in the Ten Hands brand visually as much as possible. I think this is very important to show viewers "this is OUR food" as a way to differentiate the offerings and atmosphere. And, I think we nailed it.
